Celebrate UK Libraries' Archives During October

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Oct. 9, 2008) – In celebration of Archives Month 2008, University of Kentucky Archives is presenting several virtual exhibits at The Hub, located in the basement of William T. Young Library. The six exhibits, which opened Monday, Oct. 6, feature a diverse selection of extraordinary images from the Commonwealth of yesteryear. Among the six exhibits at The Hub celebration of Archives Month are three new exhibits, "Dogs of the Twentieth Century," "Inside Views" and "Pranks, Competitions, and Traditions of the Past." The first exhibit focuses on man and woman's "best friend." The other two new exhibits draw from photographs from the university itself and include images of classrooms and other campus interiors, as well as activities.
