MOSCOW, October 9 (RIA Novosti) - Russian President Dmitry Medvedev arrived in Kyrgyzstan on Thursday for talks with his Kyrgyz counterpart, Kurmanbek Bakiyev, and to take part in meetings of CIS and Eurasec leaders, the Kremlin said. At their meeting in the Kyrgyz capital of Bishkek, Medvedev and Bakiyev are expected to discuss trade and economic cooperation, including in energy, as well as regional security. This is Medvedev's first visit to Bishkek since his election victory in March 2008. The presidents are due to sign an intergovernmental agreement on developing cooperation in the electric-power supply industry, as well as a memorandum of understanding between Kyrgyzstan and Russia's energy giant Gazprom.
