CUNY historian puts Italy on borough map

With enough funding, the map could be expanded to all five boroughs, they said as Italian-Americans geared up for Columbus Day on Monday. "We're not knocking , but the center of Italian-American culture really lies in New York City," said Gottlieb, president of the Central Queens Historical Association. "And it's not just in the Village and the lower East Side - it's in the boroughs."
