Murder mystery allows arm-chair detectives to figure out who-dunnits

By CHERIL VERNON The Palestine Herald PALESTINE — Are you an arm-chair detective who enjoys figuring out who-dunnits when watching television, movies and books? This Saturday, patrons will have the opportunity to figure out a murder mystery while riding the steam engine train at the Texas State Railroad during the Murder on the DisORIENTed EXPRESS™. This year’s mystery “Close Encounters of the Texas Kind,” presented by the Palestine Library Friends, was written by member Ruth Davis. The murder mystery/dinner-theater/train-ride event will take everyone back to the year 1969 where rumors are flying about unexplained explosions and unidentified flashing lights hovering over area farms and remote backwoods.
