The Palestine Herald By SCOTT TYLER H-P Sports Editor Grapeland head coach Curt Faigle feels the non-district schedule his team played will be a key Friday night. The Sandies host power-running team Carlisle Friday night and after facing several run-oriented offenses in non-district, Faigle thinks his team could have an advantage. “Playing Centerville, Elkhart and Lovelady was good experience for district,” Faigle said. “We did not schedule with that in mind but it worked out. “I think that could be our ace in the hole.” Grapeland (0-1, 3-2) held Centerville and Elkhart to under 100 yards rushing and hope to do the same to Carlisle (0-2, 3-3). “Mentally, we have to go in the game thinking that we cannot concede an inch,” Faigle said. “We have to have the mentality to stop them on every down, because we have seen them go for...
