Dardennes receive Cologne prize

TV Movie Award goes to 'White Girl' BERLIN — Regional film subsidy org Filmstiftung NRW and the city of Cologne are honoring Belgian filmmakers Jean-Pierre and Luc Dardenne at the Cologne Conference film and TV festival, which kicked off Wednesday. The Filmstiftung will present the E25,000 ($35,000) prize, known as the Cologne Film Award and given to “unique filmmakers who have contributed to the further development of the language of film and media,” at a special ceremony on Friday.
