Charlie Manuel the same guy every day

There is nothing ordinary about baseball, particularly at the time of year when all the days add up and, for the lucky teams, they finally add up to something. What Manuel means is that baseball teams have to work together every day for more than six months at a stretch. They live together every day, hopefully happily, and play the game just about every day. It is a cliche to call it a grind, but it is a mistake to call it anything else.
