Several local celebs are expected to turn out for the Bob Valvano Celebrity Bocce Tournament Monday at Jim Patterson Stadium, Central Avenue at Third Street. The fifth annual Columbus Day event features several Kentucky sports legends, including former Kentucky Colonel Louie Dampier; former University of Kentucky and NBA basketball player Scott Padgett; former University of Louisville basketball players Scooter McCray and Roger Burkman; former U of L and NFL quarterback Dave Ragone; and former U of L football coach John L. Smith. Former Miss America Heather French Henry also will attend. The free event is from 1 to 3:30 p.m. and benefits the V Foundation for Cancer Research & the Kentucky Prostate Cancer Coalition.
