Burned again by Pete Spaziano, 'best of the worst'

Greg Dawson | The Last Resort Dear Greg: I saw your article from July about handyman Pete Spaziano being arrested. He is back at it! I moved here from Massachusetts and needed someone to install an automatic gate. Pete called and said he got my name from servicemagic.com. I blew him off for a while and got other quotes, but his quote was the best, so I called him and he was here bright and early the next day, Sept. 22. He wrote up a contract and asked for a deposit. He left and went straight to my bank and cashed the check for $1,100. I thought that was strange and I called him, and he said, "I told you not to call me until Oct. 2."
