He served in a variety of coaching and teaching roles in the Cardinals organization for decades, and among the multitudes he influenced were Sparky Anderson, Joe Torre and current Cardinals manager Tony La Russa. Kissell, 88, died Tuesday of injuries suffered in a car accident in Florida.
