J.R. Giddens learns from best

Allen instructed the Celtics [team stats] rookie in footwork, and put his incomparable shooting stroke on display. Giddens was admittedly in awe. “Jesus Shuttlesworth,” Giddens said of the role played by Allen in the film “He Got Game.” “It was the greatest movie ever made to a kid of my age.” Giddens put on a Celtics game uniform for the first time in a meaningful way against Philadelphia last night at the Mullins Center, and he understood more than ever that adulation has its place.
