Tigers Could Boost Noles

They are "not in the national picture," according to Seminoles coach Bobby Bowden, who admits the record is deceptively good, due to a pair of victories against Division I-AA teams. But the Seminoles are in the hunt for an ACC title. The new motivation? Go Clemson! If Clemson (3-2, 1-1) defeats Wake Forest (3-1, 1-0) in tonight's ESPN game, the ACC Atlantic will have no more unbeaten teams within the league. FSU's dismal 12-3 home loss against Wake Forest will be partially absolved. Of course, Bowden probably would be rooting for Clemson, coached by his son Tommy, regardless.
