Biard has learned to grow into large size

By Corey Roepken The Daily News Published October 9, 2008 LEAGUE CITY — Jared Biard always has been the biggest kid in his class. After growing six inches as a freshman, his size started to bother him. All of a sudden, the Clear Creek High School student was 6 feet, 6 inches tall. He couldn’t go anywhere to hide. Biard often hunched over so he wouldn’t look so tall. It took a while to get used to his stature. With the help of Clear Creek football coach Darrell Warden coaxing him to stop shying away from his height, Biard overcame the discomfort. Since then, he has blossomed into one of the county’s top offensive lineman. At 6 feet, 8 inches and 295 pounds, he looks the part, too. “You get looked at a lot,” Biard sighed. “You walk into places, and people stare at you.
