KUALA LUMPUR: Citibank Bhd is in Malaysia for the long haul as the country’s fundamentals remain strong with continuing prospects for growth, says country business head for consumer banking Michellina Triwardhany. “Our business momentum in Malaysia is showing positive results despite slower market conditions and for that, we are committed to be here,” she said yesterday after launching Citibank Debit and ATM Card. For the first half of 2008, Citibank posted a pre-tax profit of RM544mil while total assets stood at RM44.4bil.
