Doctor disciplined for attacking colleague

Brendan Mull of Anaheim Hills will be monitored and will receive drug and alcohol testing because of the incident. A pediatric neurologist has been disciplined by the state medical board after he physically attacked a female psychiatrist who was treating him last year at UC Irvine Medical Center. Dr. Brendan Mull of Anaheim Hills agreed to seven years probation, random drug and alcohol testing and monitoring of his treatment of patients, effective Wednesday. According to the California Medical Board, UCI obtained a restraining order against Mull last fall. The incident occurred when his psychiatrist, who was treating him for depression, recommended that he consider hospitalization.
