MANILA, Oct. 9 (PNA) -- Climate change, peace building, sustainable development, poverty alleviation, and the role of women in tourism are on top of the list in the 6th UN International Tourism Forum for Parliamentarians and Local Authorities, which will be held on October 22-25 in Cebu City. International delegates from 157 countries have confirmed attendance in this much-anticipated forum where major challenges in the tourism industry will be discussed. Adding to the top issues are communications and ethics in tourism, economic knowledge of tourism at the local level and the measurement of employment in the tourism sector, and a focused session on different actors in the promotion and development of tourism.
