Judge Has a Message for the Community

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Oct. 8, 2008) − Judge Marvin S. Arrington has been making history for most of his adult life. For more than 30 years, the Atlanta judge has built a distinguished legal career incorporating a hands-on approach to solving problems in his community. He is the author of "Making My Mark: the story of a man who wouldn't stay in his place." Arrington was also the first full-time African American law student at Emory University. As part of their goal to increase community outreach, the University of Kentucky African American Studies and Research Program (AASRP) will sponsor an event featuring Arrington and his inspiring message Oct. 11.
