African Politics Professor looks at facial features and language to determine orgins Michael Nwanze, a political science professor, says he can guess where a person's family came from by looking at them. For many, Nwanze's skill solves the mystery that some student's have about their ancestral past. Many people have taken online DNA tests to find out where their family originated, but Nwanze conducts his testing simply by looking at the individual. "You look at the facial features," Nwanze said. Language also plays a role in determining a person's background.
