Einhorn's High Stakes Hedge Fund Greenlight Endures Tough Q3 (Indie Research)

David Einhorn, the head of hedge fund Greenlight Capital (and sometimes a participant in the World Series of Poker), has racked up impressive gains, posting average annualized returns of 25.5% from May 1996 through the middle of 2008, according to New York Times. But September was difficult for the fund, as it was for so many investors. According to Bloomberg, Greenlight was down -12.8% during September and -16.4% year to date.
