A Federal Opposition MP says he is angry that the New South Wales Government did not ask the Commonwealth to help fund the North-West Metro rail project. The State Government has finalised the list of projects it will ask the Commonwealth to help pay for, out of the Building Australia fund. The western metro rail line between Parramatta and the CBD, and the M4 East project are at the top of the list. The Member for Mitchell, Alex Hawke, says the North-West Metro is the sort of project that could benefit from federal funding. "After 10 years of promising a north-west rail line then metro line, they haven't even even mentioned it in their submission," he said.
