For the first time in his career, Camilo Villegas is the PGA Tour's Player of the Month. He won the award for September based on his two victories in his only two starts, with both victories coming in the PGA Tour Playoffs for the FedExCup. Villegas opened his month with a victory in the BMW Championship, where he carded rounds of 65-66-66-68--265 to earn $1.26 million. A few weeks later, he captured the Tour Championship with rounds of 72-66-69-66--273 and another $1.26 million. Villegas eventually finished second in the Playoffs. He is currently seventh on the 2009 money list with a total of $4,422,641.
