Early cheer for our A1 team as they share top spot

PETALING JAYA: Fairuz Fauzy has certainly given A1 Team Malaysia a headstart in the championship with his superb performances in the wet at the circuit in Zandvoort, Holland, last Sunday. He bagged a maiden A1GP career win in the sprint race and finished second in the feature race. With a new point classification rule in place, Malaysia could not have asked for a better start. The two podium finishes put Malaysia on top of the championship standings on 22 points together with France. The season features 10 rounds. Having shown his ability to win races, the team management are expected to retain Fairuz in the seat for the upcoming rounds next month in Chengdu (Nov 7-9) and Sepang (Nov 21-23).
