Or sending the kids off to school with spookily decorated cupcakes? Halloween used to be so simple, just a fun holiday for kids - and kids at heart. Homey touches included displays of pumpkins, gourds, acorns or pine cones that you picked yourself; simple decorations were made from fallen leaves and twigs.
