Tuesday October 7, 2008, 8:16 am New infrastructure projects seeking Government funding must be able to show environmental, social and economic benefits under new rules to be unveiled by Prime Minister Kevin Rudd Mr Rudd is this morning expected to outline a series of questions any project will face, such as whether the project expands the nation's productive capacity, builds global competitive advantages, develops cities or regions, improves the quality of life and whether it reduces greenhouse gas emissions. Infrastructure Minister Anthony Albanese has told AM all of those considerations will be important in deciding if a project is funded from the $20 billion Building Australia Fund.
