Posted by Eric Cook on October 6th, 2008 filed in Edited by Russ Loede: Kyle Orton and the Bears got off to another hot start Sunday against it’s first NFC North opponent, the winless Detroit Lions, as he led the team to victory, while topping all quarterbacks in passing yards. The difference this time, he didn’t cool off in the second half, as opposed to last Sunday Night against Philly. A lot was mentioned about Jon Kitna’s record against the Bears and the Lions sweeping of the Bears last season, but all that was just “ear candy” to try to make this a more intriguing match-up (hype, hoopla) than it was. The Lions were clearly out matched, showing Sunday that they were in total shambles.
