Big-serving Crotian knocked out in first round Former world number one Juan Carlos Ferrero knocked out number four seed Ivo Karlovic 6-4 7-6 (7-4) in the first round of the Austrian Open. Big-serving Croatian Karlovic moved on to 848 aces for the season with the 17 he boomed down against Ferrero, but the Spaniard stood up to the onslaught.
