MLB: Cleveland 8, Texas 7

ARLINGTON, Texas, Aug. 24 (UPI) -- Jamey Carroll's eighth-inning RBI single Saturday night gave the Cleveland Indians an 8-7 win over the Texas Rangers, their sixth win in a row. Carroll drove in the winning run while batting for Andy Marte with one out in the top of the eighth. Kelly Shoppach's second hit, a three-run homer, had created a 7-7 tie with two outs in the fifth.
