Chairman could swap FSA frying pan for the PM's fire

Sir Callum McCarthy, chairman of the Financial Services Authority, has been on a goodbye tour to meet up with some of the world's uber-bankers before hanging up his boots next month. But what will the quietly spoken Scot do next? Some suggest a job advising the PM. Perhaps after some spiky encounters with MPs on the Treasury Select Committee - headed by the combative John McFall - McCarthy might decide he has better things to do.
