Eswarraj HARDSHIP: Passengers have to exert themselves to reach the shore after alighting from the ferry, at Taneerbavi. MANGALORE: Thousands of people commuting by ferries between Sultan Batheri and Tannirbavi have been demanding construction of jetties on both sides. The Government conceded the demand about three months ago, but the jetty at Tannirbavi has been rendered useless as ferries cannot approach it because the water is not deep enough there.
