Gilmore pays tribute to former Cork mayor, Frank Nash

Issued : Friday 15 August, 2008 The Leader of the Labour Party, Eamon Gilmore TD, has paid tribute to the former Labour Party Lord Mayor of Cork, Frank Nash, whose death has taken place. "Frank Nash was a life long Labour activist and a dedicated local representative. He served as a Cork City Councillor for more than twenty years, representing the people of Mayfield, Dillon's Cross, the Glen and other areas of the Cork North East ward with great distinction. Frank also served on the VEC and the old Southern Health Board and will be remembered in particular for his outstanding year as Lord Major of Cork in 1990/1991.
