The names of Irish pioneers who helped populate Sioux Falls are engraved on paving blocks at the feet of the Potato Man, a sculpture placed on the southwest corner of McKennan Park. The sculpture, purchased as a tribute to those Irish immigrants who left a starving homeland to start a new life, is being dedicated at 6:30 tonight. Their descendants - 140 families and counting - purchased the pavers for $250, which also paid for the statue and the landscaping.
