KUALA LUMPUR: Pakatan Rakyat has agreed to Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim being appointed Opposition Leader should he win the Permatang Pauh by-election on Aug 26. In a joint statement read out by Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng, the three-party pact agreed to fully endorse Anwar as their candidate for the by-election. “We have all agreed that when Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim succeeds in entering Parliament he will be proposed the Opposition Leader effective Aug 27,” Lim said at the court complex in Jalan Duta yesterday. He said Pakatan would work together and give Anwar their fullest support.
