SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- The annual Syracuse Irish Festival will honor Congressman James Walsh during this year’s two-day festival. The festival director says they wanted to honor Walsh for all of his commitment and dedication to Central New York as well as his efforts to create peace in Northern Ireland. The festival will also give a $1,000 scholarship in Congressman Walsh’s name to an Irish-American student attending college in Central New York.
