Fresh off their championship in SuperLiga 2008 when they overcame one previous bogey team, the New England Revolution return to league action for the first time in more than a month, facing another -- at least this season -- in the Chicago Fire. The Revolution knocked off the Houston Dynamo to win the second edition of the North American tournament, returning to league play still with the best overall record.
