A MOTORBIKE smash caused rush-hour traffic chaos on the M60. Two lanes of the Greater Manchester ring road were closed between junctions 10 and 11 after the accident by Barton Bridge, near the Trafford Centre. A motorcyclist and a motorist collided at 3.15pm this afternoon. The 22-year-old motorcycle rider was the only casualty. He suffered breathing difficulties after the accident, but paramedics managed to clear an airway. The victim, whose injuries are not thought to be life-threatening, was taken to Hope Hospital for treatment, and by the evening his condition was said to be improving. For hours after the accident traffic was funnelling into one lane as it passed the crash site, with tailbacks stretching to junction 8. By 7pm a second lane was re-opened, easing traffic on the motorway. Police are investigating the cause...
