Charity Launches New Leaflet To Help People Leaving Hospital After Meningitis

The UK’s longest established meningitis charity - the Meningitis Trust - is offering a helping hand to anyone facing the daunting experience of leaving hospital after meningitis and associated meningococcal septicaemia. The Trust has produced a new ‘Home from Hospital’ leaflet - designed to offer information, support and reassurance to individuals and families who are leaving hospital after experiencing meningitis and who may be unsure what the future may hold for them. For many, the suddenness of the disease and the speed with which it develops, is both shocking and overwhelming - with families left feeling stunned and traumatised, sometimes in a matter of hours.
