The theme marks the pageant's 50th anniversary and the 20 finalists are gearing up for gala night on Aug 9 at the Palace of the Golden Horses. Shereen Kaur, 20, an undergraduate in child psychology said: "My love goes to children with autism and Down's syndrome." "The media often highlights abused children but not much attention is paid to disabled children," she added. She believed that by taking part in the pageant, she would be able to represent the underprivileged children better.
