Conn's, Inc. Reports Net Sales Results for the Quarter Ended July 31, 2008

BEAUMONT, Texas, Aug. 7, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Conn's, Inc. (Nasdaq:CONN), a specialty retailer of home appliances, consumer electronics, computers, lawn and garden products, furniture and mattresses, today announced its net sales results for the quarter ended July 31, 2008. Net sales for the quarter ended July 31, 2008, of $190.6 million, increased $11.6 million, or 6.5%, as compared with the quarter ended July 31, 2007. Net sales represent total product sales, service maintenance agreement commissions and service revenues. Same store sales (sales recorded in stores operated for the entirety of both periods) decreased 1.4% for the quarter ended July 31, 2008.
