Since the PGA Tour opted to scotch the old September date and re-slot the tournament in late July to accommodate the inaugural FedEx Cup race in 2007, the Canadian Open has found itself squatting on some sub-prime tour date real estate. Sandwiched between the British Open and a World Golf Championship event, appearances of A-List golfers at Canada’s lone PGA stop have become as scarce as Hannah Montana concert tickets.
