News Type: Event — Wed Aug 6, 2008 2:45 PM EDT Arizona State grad Chez Reavie won the 99th Canadian Open. I should have posted this a week or so ago, but I was moving so I got a bit backed up. Since the PGA Tour opted to scotch the old September date and re-slot the tournament in late July to accommodate the inaugural FedEx Cup race in 2007, the Canadian Open has found itself squatting on some sub-prime tour date real estate. Sandwiched between the British Open and a World Golf Championship event, appearances of A-List golfers at Canada’s lone PGA stop have become as scarce as Hannah Montana concert tickets.
