India: Pakistan army fired over Kashmir frontier

Pakistani soldiers violated the cease-fire in Kashmir on Wednesday, shooting across the heavily fortified frontier in the Himalayan region for the third time in two weeks, the Indian army said. Pakistani soldiers opened machine gun fire just after noon Wednesday and "we returned fire but there were no casualties," Brig. Gopala Krishnan Murali, a senior Indian army officer in Kashmir said. The skirmish lasted about 15 minutes, he said, adding that the army had stepped up vigil and patrol parties fanned out across the area.
