TalkSport has parted company with its weekend overnight presenter Mike Mendoza after four years with the station. His departure is part of a reshuffle of the schedule under programme director Moz Dee and follows the exit of another of its long-time presenters, James Whale, in May. The Mike Mendoza Show ran from 1am to 6am on Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays. Mendoza joined the UTV-owned station in 2004, initially on weeknights, before switching to weekends two years later. He previously worked for London talk station LBC. A spokesman for the station said Mendoza's contract had not been renewed. Mendoza was censured by Ofcom last year for making offensive comments about gay people.
