Latvian border guard service fines tens of Estonians every month for attempta to enter the country without an ID card or passport. Postimees writes that in most cases Estonians think that after joining the Schengen zone it is enough to have a driver’s license when they enter the country. One Estonian who travelled to Riga in June was fined EEK 1,110 for entering Latvia without proper travel documents.
