Favre officially rejoined the Packers, although the circus-like atmosphere took another unexpected turn Monday night when coach Mike McCarthy canceled a news conference at which he was supposed to discuss his plans for Favre. Team spokesman Jeff Blumb told reporters the briefing would be today. Blumb explained that McCarthy was still talking to Favre; at that point, the two had been meeting for more than three hours.
