Merger move has no logic

THE Advertiser/Chronicle carried an article quoting Jacqui Smith, our Redditch MP, about a rumoured merger with Bromsgrove and a letter from Albert Wharrad on the same theme. One of these gave a long and dedicated political career to Redditch having the town at heart and knowing its people well. The other one became our MP. While not always on Albert's wavelength, I will always listen to what he has to say, but will take no advice from a career politician like Ms Smith. Jumping on each and every bandwagon that affords a modicum of comfort from her laughable performance as a Home Secretary and MP she must surely realise that the game is up and that we all watch TV and read our newspapers.
