News Type: Event — Mon Aug 4, 2008 12:53 PM EDT I was flabbergasted by some of the random activity in the sports world this week, so I thought I would share a few of these random facts, or tidbits, with the readers of this fine column… The Chicago Cubs are in first place. Lance Armstrong is dating Goldie Hawn’s daughter. Michelle Wie was disqualified from the State Farm Classic this week for failing to immediately sign her scorecard from a day earlier. “I don’t know why or how it happened,” said Wie, who had obviously been crying. Brett Favre can’t find a quarterback job in Green Bay, Wisc., or anywhere in the NFL. Barry Bonds can’t find a job swinging a bat in San Francisco, or anywhere else in Major League Baseball, even though he and his agent continue to try and find a suitor.
