SALALAH -- A regional workshop on 'The Future of Voice Communications,' organised by Oman Telecommunications Company (Omantel), in association with the Arab Centre of Excellence and the regional office for International Telecommunications Union, will conclude at Salalah Hilton Hotel this evening. Over the two days, the participants at the workshop discussed several key topics related to the future of voice communication and the shift to the next generation communications entirely based on Internet Protocol, as well as its impact on the performance of ICT sector, market restructuring, competition and regulatory matters.
