Loeb cuts gap after first Finnish rally win

Four-time world champion Sebastien Loeb wins the Rally of Finland Loeb cuts the gap on championship leader Mikko Hirvonen, who finishes second Citroen driver Loeb wins 15 of 24 stages for his first victory in Finland (CNN) -- Four-time world champion Sebastien Loeb of France won the Rally of Finland on Sunday for the first time to boost his chances of a fifth title. Home driver Mikko Hirvonen finished nine seconds behind in second place in his Ford Focusafter 340 kilometers of special stages, and retains the overall championship lead by just one point from Loeb with six rounds remaining. "It was a great fight all week," Loeb said. "You had to be careful not to miss any junctions, and to not go over the limit."
