Needless to say, it could be a bumpy ride for a little while. Among MTSU's 74 players on scholarship, only 27 are in the two older classes (10 seniors, 17 juniors). Even more concerning is that only about half of MTSU's 22 projected starters will come from the junior and senior classes combined. It's not the fault of the older players that their numbers are depleted, but some of their leadership roles will inevitably fall to those usually too young to have them. Mark Fisher was supposed to be a vocal leader on the offensive line before he suffered a shoulder injury in spring practice that could sideline him for most or all of the season. But Fisher was only a sophomore....
