Blogging at detroitlions.com, Smith says he was a big fan guy back at Central Florida -- they loved him and he loved them, never turning down a postgame request for an autograph no matter how long the line got. "You've just got to give back, man," he wrote. "If people paid money to come see you and they support you and yell your name, you've got to do it. If there was nobody out there it would still be fun, but it helps with fans."
