The foreign observers from seven countries for the upcoming Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) polls on August 11 underwent their second day of briefing from the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) Saturday. Resource persons from Mindanao discussed the situation of women in the South and the impact and relevance of elections in the ARMM to the 22 foreign observers. The COMELEC was also set to demonstrate how automated poll machines work on Saturday afternoon. In an interview with one of the foreign observers, Yasmin Busran-Lao who is Executive Director of the Al-Mujadilah Development Foundation Incorporated, she said she has yet to know how the automated machines operate.
